eek! design = emily elizabeth knowles-grumble
designer + teacher.
Over 20 years of professional design experience and a state certified K-12 Art + Design instructor.
20 years is a good chunk of time. As a designer, you could spend most of it sitting behind a desk. Of course you want a designer who has great design chops, but how about one who has hands-on experience in print production and project management? And while we're at it, how about one who knows vinyl decal design and application? Maybe a designer who can translate your company brochures from German to English while updating your look? A designer who can put your logo on ostrich eggs? Yes, really. Ostrich eggs. Eek! design has done all of that and much more.
Emily is a graduate of Columbia College of Art (B.A.) and received her teaching certification from North Park University in Chicago. She has worked on projects for several clients including Under Armour, Walgreens, Targus and Mercedes Benz to name a few. Emily is also the head of Publications and Design for Capricon, a science fiction convention held annually in the Chicago-land area.
When she's not designing all the things, Emily can usually be found at the playground with her son Lincoln and husband Josh. Occasionally you'll catch her servin' up aces on the volleyball court or catching up on the latest Zelda game.
